More from around the Garden...

The side coop with Wheat in front, Morning Glories on the side and Blue Hydrangea in the back

The grapes are coming in nicely! We might have to make some wine this year

Ruth in front of the grape vine. It's growing along the roof line!

Part II

This week around the Garden

Red raspberries and Tiger Lillies in bloom now

The honey bees are active and making lots of babies (and eventually excess honey!)

These green berries are destined to become blackberry's soon

The side coop with Morning Glories growing up it to provide shade in the summer heat. They keep pecking at whatever comes through the double netting but I think the MG's will win the battle in the long run. I'll post another pic when it is completely covered and in bloom.

Around the Yard...

Baby Garlic transplants. All of these babies from just 4 original bulbs. Sweet!

I'll post another photo of this bean pole in about 6 months when beans and morning glories will be covering it. They'll even grow around the bird feeder!

Dried Cayenne Peppers from last season. I am separating the dried skins from the seeds. The skin will become Cayenne powder to spice up meals and the seeds will be planted in early Summer for another Fall crop.

This will be a cucumber and pole bean Trellis in the Spring/Summer seasons but, for now, it is just a focal piece in the garden. It reminds me of how Jesus was lifted up on His Holy Cross.

No matter what time of year, the grass is always green just outside the chicken coop. I wonder why? :)

Winter Garden

Side sitting area with newly planted winter rye grass

Rustic Pergola with weaved Gladiola leaf partition and birdhouse on the Bean arbor

New Antique birdhouse on top of last seasons Morning Glory vines. The seeds will drop and start a new cycle of growth in the Spring

Field Peas planted in the bottom field which is better than sitting fallow all winter!

More Fall Beauty...

I have about 4 chords so far... That should get us through winter

Big Red Oak in backyard. So many acorns...

Cayenne peppers are still producing, even after a few hard early frosts
